Yixing clay has been used for hundred of years as teapot clay because of the properties the clay brings to the liquor. Genuine Yixing clay is hard to get nowadays as the original mines closed in the 90's. This teapot is made from clay from the original mines and has been tested by us that it indeed makes great tea.
